After dominating the box office and capturing the hearts of romance-loving cinephiles, Mohit Suri’s latest film 'Saiyaara' is now making headlines for its much-anticipated digital debut. Starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the romantic drama has seen a dream theatrical run, and now, fans are eager to know when they can stream it from the comfort of their homes.

If reports are to be believed, the OTT rights for 'Saiyaara' have been picked up by none other than Netflix. As per a report in Financial Express, while there’s no official confirmation yet from the platform or the producers, the film is expected to drop on Netflix sometime between late September and early October, roughly eight weeks after its cinematic release.

Directed by Mohit Suri and produced under the Yash Raj Films banner, 'Saiyaara' has already been declared a super blockbuster. With packed theatres and sold-out shows across metros and small towns alike, the film stunned trade analysts by raking in a massive ₹83 crore net at the domestic box office in its opening weekend alone. It’s the biggest first weekend ever for an Indian romantic drama, surpassing the benchmarks set by Suri’s previous hit 'Aashiqui 2'.

Interestingly, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Mohit Suri shared that 'Saiyaara' actually originated from the concept he had initially planned for 'Aashiqui 3'. “I thought of this idea for Aashiqui 3, which is now Saiyaara,” he revealed, while acknowledging the creative differences between Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt that eventually led him to reimagine the film under a new title.

With the OTT release on the horizon, 'Saiyaara' is set to charm an even wider audience. And for those who missed it in cinemas, Netflix might soon offer the perfect chance to witness the love story that’s got the nation talking.
