Naseeruddin Shah’s Wife Ratna Pathak Shares His Health Update: ‘Will Be Discharged By Tomorrow Hopefully’

Fans went into a state of shock after they heard the news of Naseeruddin Shah’s hospitalisation after receiving the tragic news of Mandira Bedi’s husband Raj Kaushal’s death earlier today.

Mumbai: Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah who has been hospitalised two days ago after being diagnosed with pneumonia. A patch has been found in his lungs for which he is undergoing treatment currently.

Fans went into a state of shock after they heard the news of Naseeruddin Shah’s hospitalisation after receiving the tragic news of Mandira Bedi’s husband Raj Kaushal’s death earlier today.

Naseeruddin’s wife Ratna Pathak confirmed the news of his hospitalisation and while speaking to a leading entertainment portal, gave an update about his health. She revealed that the actor is perfectly alright and the doctors are treating a minor patch that is there on his lungs. Ratna Pathak told PinkVilla, “He is perfectly alright. There is a minor patch on his lung, which they have been treating. He should be discharged by tomorrow hopefully.”

Ratna Pathak further added, “It’s pneumonia, but it's fortunately very small and in one little corner so hopefully it won’t require much more work.”

Meanwhile, Shah’s secretary Jayraj told ABP News, “He has been in the hospital for two days. He's under medical supervision. He was brought in for pneumonia. There was a patch found in his lungs and it became necessary for him to be hospitalised immediately. His condition is stable and he's responding well to the treatment, the senior actor might get discharged in a day or two as prescribed by the doctor.”

Naseeruddin is currently admitted to Hinduja hospital where legendary actor Dilip Kumar has been also admitted after he complained of breathlessness earlier today. Dilip Kumar is currently in ICU.

On the work front, Naseeruddin Shah will next be seen in the upcoming film ‘Maarrich’. He will also feature alongside Rasika Dugal in the upcoming film ‘The Miniaturist Of Junagadh’.
