A day after India celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas on July 26, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn shared a video of him reciting a poem written by Manoj Muntashir - 'Sipahi'.
Mumbai: To observe India’s victory over Pakistan in the Kargil War, on July 26th every year, ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ is celebrated in our country. Though the war ended for us in victory, many soldiers lost their lives on the border fighting to save the dignity and pride of their motherland. To honour all the Kargil heroes, living or martyred, the Prime Minister of India pays homage to them at Amar Jawan Jyoti at the India Gate.
Well, a day after India celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas on July 26, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn shared a video of him reciting a poem written by Manoj Muntashir. Dedicated to all the brave hearts, this poem is known as ‘Sipahi’. The ‘Bhuj: The Pride Of India’ actor beautifully recited the poem and it left Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty in tears.
Akshay Kumar shared Ajay’s video on Twitter and wrote, “I’m not very expressive when it comes to emotions in real life. But this got me in tears. @ajaydevgn, I didn’t know you have a brilliant poet in you. Kis Kis baat pe dil jeetoge yaar?”
The ‘Sooryavanshi’ actor then apologised in his next tweet revealing that he didn’t know that the poem was by Manoj Muntashir. Akshay tweeted, “Just got to know that the words of the very moving poem are by the amazingly talented @manojmuntashir. Narrated by @ajaydevgn”.
Suniel Shetty also shared the video and wrote, “When a dear friend speaks of country & soldier. The heartfelt love of one brother for another. Tears come to the eye, of pride, making the heart stronger. Bravo @ajaydevgn. Amazing recital. @manojmuntashir #Sipahi”.
