'OG Manjulika' Aka Vidya Balan To Team Up With Kartik Aaryan For Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3

New Delhi: It’s great news for Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise fans as the third installment of the film is set to light up the screen with an unexpected collaboration. Vidya Balan and Kartik Aaryan are teaming up for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which will be directed by Anees Bazmee. 

Kartik Aaryan took to Instagram to warmly welcome Vidya Balan back to the popular franchise. The actor posted a video with the scenes from the song ‘ami je tomar’ featuring Vidya and Kartik from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 1 and 2 respectively. He wrote in the caption, “And its happening 🔥 Og Manjulika is coming back to the world of BhoolBhulaiyaa. Vidya Balan's memorable portrayal of Manjulika in the first Bhool Bhulaiyaa film left a lasting impact on audiences. Similarly, Kartik Aaryan's role as Rooh Baba in the second installment garnered significant love and appreciation. The excitement escalates as these two talented actors reprise their iconic characters in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, promising a nostalgic yet fresh experience. 

The announcement has generated buzz and curiosity among fans, eager to witness the magical on-screen chemistry between Rooh Baba and Manjulika, two beloved characters in Bollywood.  

The film will be released on Diwali this year.  

Released in October 2007, 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' starred Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Shiney Ahuja, Ameesha Patel and was directed by Priyadarshan. The film was a remake of the Malayalam film 'Manichitrathazhu' featuring Shobana and Mohanlal. Shobana also won her first National Award for the film.

'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' starring Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani, Tabu was released in May 2022 and was directed by Anees Bazmee. Both the films did well at the box office.
