Tom Cruise Starrer 'Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning' Earns Highest Weekend Box Office Numbers In India After SRK's 'Pathaan'

Tom Cruise starrer 'Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One' is riding with a wave of success on the global box office.

New Delhi: Tom Cruise starrer 'Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One' is riding with a wave of success on the global box office. The film saw a record-breaking collection next only to Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan', the highest-grossing Indian film of 2023. 'MI 7' had a pan India release on July 12 across 3500 plus screens in Hindi,Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions in addition to the original English version.

Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, 'Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One' stars Tom Cruise, Hayley Atwell, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson and Vanessa Kirby, among others. Tom Cruise returns as Ethan Hunt, the IMF spy with his team, to take down The Entity, the arch AI-nemesis.

As per trade analysis site 'Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One', the film collected Rs. 68. 50 crores India net. The film collected Rs. 4.35 crores India net on its seventh day for all languages, as per the early estimate trends.

As per an industry trade analyst quoted by a Hindustan Times report, "Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One is just what the kind of blockbuster the box office needed! The gross box office collections of the film after the opening weekend stand at a gigantic ₹80 crore (approx) with a massive opening of ₹15 crore on Wednesday, ₹11 crore on Thursday, ₹12 crore on Friday and Saturday, Sunday being monumental with an approx collection of ₹19.5 crore and ₹21 crore, respectively. This makes Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One, one of India's highest grossing films this year after Pathaan. Other films across languages have done good weekend numbers but none of them were close enough to the Tom Cruise starrer, which is only growing stronger with each passing day."

Meanwhile, SRK, Deepika Padukone starrer 'Pathan' collected around Rs. 1050 crores at the global box office. The film also is the highest grossing film of YRF's Spy Universe which includes the Salman Khan starerr 'Tiger' series and Hrithik Roshan starrer 'War'. 'Pathaan' was released in theatres on January 25, 2023.
