New Delhi: Hollywood Actor Michelle Lee specialises in stunt sequences, and has performed with Scarlett Johannson in Black Widow, Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean, Brad Pitt in Bullet Train and Tom Hardy in Venom.
Recently Michelle has opened up about her collaboration with Katrina Kaif in the upcoming film 'Tiger 3'. The actor has expressed her appreciation for the towel fight scene, which has become a focal point of the trailer of the film. Michelle shared in a statement that she and Katrina rehearsed for over two weeks before they shot the sequence.
Talking about the towel fight scene in a Turkish hammam, she said, "I’m not surprised. I thought it was pretty epic when we were shooting it. We learned and practised the fight for a couple weeks and then shot it. The set design was absolutely gorgeous and the fight was really fun to do. It was wonderful being on an international film.”
Michelle praised Katrina’s dedication towards perfecting the action sequences. “Katrina was as graceful and professional as can be. She worked really hard on getting the movements precise and making sure all the movements flow. It was clear she had experience in choreography so it was super easy to work with her. We worked up a sweat,” Michelle said.
Speaking about the difficulties they faced during the shoot of the scene, the actor says, “One of the main challenges was definitely the wardrobe! Our towels needed to stay in the proper place and with so much movement and fight choreography, it was definitely a challenge. We ended up having the towels sewn closed at certain points and that helped a lot.”
"The next challenge was to strike each other from a distance that was both close enough to appear dangerous and strong, yet far enough away from each other to not cause any harm. Imagine if I had succeeded in achieving this goal? However, I am a professional, so everything went without a hitch. Neither of us was hit, so we simply had to adjust the footage for the camera.,” she added.
'Tiger 3' is directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Aditya Chopra. The film is all set set to release this Diwali on November 12 in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.
