Salman Khan's latest action drama ‘Sikandar’ has amassed ₹105.89 crore globally within just two days of its release, the makers announced on Tuesday.

Sikandar box office collection: Salman Khan's latest action drama ‘Sikandar’ has amassed ₹105.89 crore globally within just two days of its release, the makers announced on Tuesday. The film, which hit theaters on March 30, also features Rashmika Mandanna in a key role and is helmed by acclaimed director A.R. Murugadoss. It has been produced under Sajid Nadiadwala’s banner, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.

The production house shared the film’s box office numbers on their official X (formerly Twitter) handle, expressing gratitude for the audience’s support.

“Eid was special, only because of your love! We're truly grateful! Watch #Sikandar in your nearest cinemas TODAY! Book your tickets NOW,” the post read, accompanied by a poster highlighting the film’s earnings.

The Salman Khan-starrer opened with strong numbers, collecting ₹54.72 crore on its first day at the domestic box office. On day two, the film brought in an additional ₹51.17 crore, pushing the worldwide total to ₹105.89 crore. Despite these figures, ‘Sikandar‘ has received largely negative reviews from both critics and audiences.

Negative reaction from the audience

The film also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi, Prateik Babbar, Anjini Dhawan, and Jatin Sarna. However, despite its commercial appeal and high expectations, 'Sikandar' has struggled to win over viewers.

Fans of Salman Khan have taken to social media to express their disappointment, with many urging the superstar to be more selective with his scripts. While the film continues to perform well at the box office, its long-term success remains uncertain given the mixed reception from moviegoers.

ABP Live's review of Sikandar

ABP Live’s review of the film reads, “Salman’s performance lacks depth. He doesn’t come across as the powerful king, neither in terms of look nor attitude. At times, he seems lazy on screen, as if he’s doing the audience a favor by acting. The action scenes are just average; Salman has done much better in previous films. Some may argue that he’s 60 now, but even at 60, he’s romancing a heroine half his age, and we’re paying to see him on the big screen. So, expectations are natural. But Salman doesn’t manage to impress in this film." Click here for the full review.
