Bollywood actor Ranvir Shorey took to social media to inform his fans that he has tested positive for COVID-19. The 'Traffic Signal' star revealed that he has mild symptoms and is currently observing quarantine. His fans prayed for his speedy recovery after he shared a tweet on Wednesday morning to inform them about his health update.

"I have tested positive for #COVID19. Symptoms are mild. Am quarantining," Ranvir wrote on the micro-blogging site. Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri also replied to Shorey's tweet and asked him to take care. He tweeted, "Take care bro. Get well soon."

Ranvir trended on social media after he gave a befitting reply to one user, who told him, "Konkana Sensharma was right when she left you." The 'Bheja Fry' actor responded to him on Twitter in his own way. He wrote, "No, no, apparently I’m right and she’s left." The user mentioned Ranvir's former wife Konkana Sensharma after the actor posted a tweet, which read, "Keeping students out of politics is actually a good thing."

Konkana and Ranvir, who parents to nine-year old Haroon, parted ways after five years of marriage. The former couple, who shares custody of their son, remaines on cordial terms.

On the professional front, Ranvir was recently as seen as Kalpesh Patel in Eros Now's 'Metro Park 2'. He received critical acclaim for his performance in the second season of the comedy drama. He made his Bollywood debut with 'Ek Chotisi Love Story' and later went on to do films like 'Jism', 'Aaja Nachle', 'Angrezi Medium', to name a few.

Several Bollywood celebs including Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora and Varun Dhawan had tested positive for COVID-19 last year.
