Ranbir Kapoor fans, here is a news that you all have been waiting for. The megastar's upcoming film 'Ramayana' will be a two-part film and will be released over the course of 2026 and 2027. The announcement of the big Diwali releases in both years came from the makers of the film on Wednesday. 

The official announcement alongwith details about two part films has got Ranbir Kapoor fans excited. As per earlier reports, Ranbir Kapoor is all set to play a dual role in the Nitesh Tiwari films.

Namit Malhotra, the film's producer also shared the official announcement about the upcoming film on his official Instagram handle and wrote, "More than a decade ago, I embarked on a noble quest to bring this epic that has ruled billions of hearts for over 5000 years to the big screen. The Nitesh Tiwari directorial is going to be a one-of-a-kind grand releases of a film that will show Ranbir Kapoor in a never-seen-before avatar.

Besides Ranbir Kapoor, 'Ramayana' will star Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Raavan. While there is speculation about the characters of Lakshman and Hanuman, there is no official confirmation as yet.
