Ram Vilas Paswan Passes Away At 74: Bollywood Celebs Mourn His Demise

Ram Vilas Paswan death: Bollywood celebrities offered condolences to Paswan family on social media.

New Delhi: Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader Ram Vilas Paswan left for his heavenly abode on Thursday (October 8). He was 74. Paswan's son Chirag Paswan took to Twitter to inform everyone about the heartbreaking news. Bollywood celebs including Nimrat Kaur and Madhur Bhandarkar mourned his death and offered their condolences to Paswan family. May God give them strength and be with them at this grave hour. #RIPRamVilasPaswan ji," Nimrat tweeted.
Madhur Bhandarkar wrote, "My deepest condolences to @iChiragPaswan & his family members. #Omshanti."
"A great loss .. #RamVilasPaswan ji," Randeep wrote while mourning the death of the veteran leader.
Veteran actress and BJP leader Hema Malini tweeted, "Deeply saddened to learn about the passing away of Union Minister Shri Ram Vilas Paswan Ji. A socialist and popular leader, he worked for the poor and the deprived during his entire life. May his soul rest in peace. My deepest condolences to his family.''
Riteish Deshmukh condoled the death of Ram Vilas Paswan and said that his legacy will be remembered forever. "Shocked and saddened to know that Shri #RamVilasPaswan ji is no more. Heartfelt condolences to @iChiragPaswan, the entire family and millions of his followers. His legacy will be remembered forever. May his soul Rest in peace. Om Shanti," the 'Baaghi 3' actor wrote. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over Ram Vilas Paswan's death on Twitter. He said that Paswan's interventions during Cabinet meetings were insightful. "Working together, shoulder to shoulder with Paswan Ji has been an incredible experience. His interventions during Cabinet Meetings were insightful. From political wisdom, statesmanship to governance issues, he was brilliant. Condolences to his family and supporters. Om Shanti," PM Modi's tweet read.
Ram Vilas Paswan recently underwent a heart surgery at a Delhi hospital. He was the Cabinet Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.
