Post Mimi's Success, Kriti Sanon Joins League Of Top B-Town Actresses

Kriti Sanon has joined the likes of Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt, who feature in the list of leading actresses in Bollywood.

Mumbai: Kriti Sanon, who made her Bollywood debut with ‘Heropanti’ opposite Tiger Shroff, has managed to earn critical acclaim for her power-packed performance in ‘Mimi’. The comedy drama, which premiered on Netflix on Kriti’s birthday, has received an amazing response from the audience upon its release on the leading OTT platform.  

Both critics and movie buffs have described Kriti’s performance in ‘Mimi’ as her ‘career best’. The ‘Dilwale’ actress played the role of a surrogate mother with perfection in the Laxman Utekar directorial. 

While Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt have been reigning supreme in the Hindi film industry, Kriti takes the third spot as one of the most bankable actresses in Bollywood post the success of ‘Mimi’.

“Kriti Sanon has much to celebrate this birthday starting with Mimi where she is the solo lead – She shines throughout the film and considering all reviews, it’s safe to say this is her career’s best performance so far," a trade source said.

While Deepika cemented her legacy with 'Piku', Alia Bhatt managed to carve a niche for herself with 'Raazi'. Trade sources believe that 'Mimi' has worked wonders for Kriti's career. 

On the professional front, Kriti will entertain the audience with several exciting projects. Be it ‘Adipurush’ or ‘Bachchan Pandey’ or ‘Bhediya’, the ‘Bareily Ki Barfi’ star is offering something new on the platter with each film. 

Kriti will be seen romancing Akshay Kumar and Varun Dhawan for the second time on the silver screen in ‘Bachchan Pandey’ and ‘Bhediya’. She will collaborate with her ‘Heropanti’ co-star Tiger Shroff for ‘Ganapath’ while ‘Hum Do Hamare Do’ will feature her opposite Rajkummar Rao. 

Fans are quite excited to see Kriti in ‘Adipurush’, which also stars Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan. The big-ticket property has been making waves ever since the project was announced.
