'Mumbai Saga' Box Office Collection: John Abraham & Emraan Hashmi's Film Dips On Second Day

Mumbai Saga Box Office Report: The gangster drama witnessed a drop in its earnings on the second day.

John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi starrer ‘Mumbai Saga’, which released on March 19, opened on a slow note at the box office amid the COVID-19 crisis. The gangster drama has managed to receive good reviews from the critics and fans. The film collected Rs 2.82 crore on its very first day at the box office. While trade pundits expected the movie to pick up pace on the second day, it actually witnessed a dip on Saturday.

The much-awaited film minted Rs 2.40 crore on Saturday, taking the total collection to Rs 5.22 crore. Bollywood critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the box office collection of ‘Mumbai Saga’ on Twitter.

The box office collection of ‘Mumbai Saga’ was affected due to restrictions in Maharashtra amid the growing number of COVID-19 cases in the state.

The BMC has issued new guidelines in the wake of spike in coronavirus cases in Mumbai. People visiting a mall will have to carry a COVID019 negative report on undergo the test at the counter. We have to wait for some time to see the impact of the same on the business of ‘Mumbai Saga’ as the guidelines will be applicable from March 22.

‘Mumbai Saga’, which is set in the 80s and 90s, also starred Suniel Shetty, Rohit Roy, Gulshan Grover, Prateik Babbar and Mahesh Manjrekar. While John played the role of a gangster- Amartya Rao, Emraan was seen as a cop- Vijay Sarvarkar in the flick.

'Mumbai Saga', directed by Sanjay Gupta, clashed with Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra's 'Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar' at the box office. The Dibaker Banerjee directorial has failed to strike a chord with the audience despite good reviews.
