Meeting Saif was 'fairytale come true' for Kareena
Mumbai: Like every girl, Kareena Kapoor Khan had a dream - to have the perfect fairy-tale romance, which came true after meeting Chhote Nawab, Saif Ali Khan.
According to a report in Vogue, the 35-year-old actress said, "Yes, and as it turned out, he is a prince, which fits my fairytale metaphor perfectly, but he didn't have to be one - I mean, he would have been just as charming without his title."
"I unabashedly wore my heart on my sleeve and it was a nice ride till I finally met Saif and we fell in love," she added.
Saif too, gushing about their love story, said, "I think timing is everything. I met Kareena at a point in my life when I was ready to consolidate and build in every area of my life. She brought a great sense of stability; I felt like we were able to create a solid foundation on which I could build emotionally, financially, and professionally."
Though they were co-stars in 'LOC' and 'Omkara,' but the two came closer while shooting for 'Tashan' in Ladakh.
The mom-to-be even admitted that she thought the 'Phantom' actor was a very attractive man and the fact that he made her laugh was a big plus.
Further, speaking on the decision of moving in with Saif, Bebo said, "Saif and I moved in together because I was ready to leave my mother's house, and if he and I did not live together, we would barely meet."
"There were some raised eyebrows, especially since I am from the Kapoor khandaan. But I was always honest about it. In Bollywood, the tried-and-tested formula always works, so why not try and test a relationship? I didn't see anything wrong in it," she added.
Whatever it be, all's well that ends well. The two tied the knots in 2012 and are now expecting their first child together.
