Kamal Haasan Joins Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, And Amitabh Bachchan Starrer Project K

New Delhi: Kamal Haasan joins the cast of Nag Ashwin's film 'Project K'. Prabhas and Deepika Padukone are the movie's lead actors, along with Amitabh Bachchan and Disha Patani. Kamal Haasan will portray an antagonist in the much-anticipated movie, the producers announced today.

On its official Twitter account, the production company Vyjayanthi Movies announced about Kamal Haasan joining the cast. Kamal Haasan was introduced as Ulaga Nayagan (universal hero), the film's antagonist, in the announcement video, which featured multiple clips from his critically acclaimed films.

The production house tweeted, “ Welcoming the greatest actor Ulaganayagan @ikamalhaasan. Our journey becomes Universal now. #ProjectK.”

Kamal was welcomed on board by Amitabh Bachchan on Sunday. He tweeted, “Welcome Kamal .. great working with you again .. it’s been a while!”

Prabhas also shared a tweet and wrote, "A moment that will be etched in my heart forever. Honored beyond words to collaborate with the legendary @iKamalHaasan  sir in #ProjectK. The opportunity to learn and grow alongside such a titan of cinema is a dream come true moment."

There were reports that producer Ashwini Dutt had offered Kamal Haasan a whopping Rs 150 crore to play the antagonist in 'Project K' a few weeks back. The film, which is being produced by Vyjayanthi Movivies, has a Rs 500 crore budget. The film is slated to be released on January 12, 2024, in theatres in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
