Kalki 289 AD: Amitabh Bachchan Apologises To Prabhas Fans Ahead Of Release, Says 'Don't Massacre Me'

New Delhi: Legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan recently apologized to Prabhas' fans ahead of the release of "Kalki 2898 AD." In a video released by Vyjayanthi Network, the producers Priyanka Dutt and Swapna Dutt, along with stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan, discussed the film directed by Nag Ashwin. Amitabh, who plays the character Ashwatthama, humorously apologized for his character's epic clash with Prabhas' Bhairava.

Amitabh Bachchan, who plays the character Ashwatthama, humorously apologized for his character's epic clash with Prabhas' Bhairava.

Recalling his initial meeting with the director, Amitabh said, "When Nagi approached me, he showed a visual of my character and Prabhas'. I was this huge guy confronting 'THE' Prabhas. To all Prabhas' fans, please excuse me. Main haath jod ke maafi maang raha hoon, don’t massacre me after you see what I do.”

Prabhas reassured him, saying, “They are all your fans too.” Amitabh appreciated the director's clear vision, adding, “He already had a picture in mind, which is rare.”

At a recent press conference in Mumbai, Amitabh expressed his amazement at the film's concept, joking, “When Nag Ashwin explained his idea, I was left thinking, ‘what the hell is Nagi drinking?’” He praised the film's futuristic visuals and Nag Ashwin’s ability to bring his vision to life, stating, “Being part of this project has been an unforgettable experience.”
