Irrfan Khan’s Son Babil Collaborates With ‘Piku’ Director Shoojit Sircar; Says ‘Honoured To Work With You Legends’
Though one might not get to witness Irrfan Khan in a new role on-screen, his son Babil Khan, who is following his father’s footsteps, will soon be seen acting in Bollywood movies.
Mumbai: Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan, who gained recognition and love not only in India but also on international platforms. The actor has done several movies during his lifetime before he succumbed to a colon infection last year on April 29. Fans miss Irrfan Khan illustrating different characters on-screen.
Though one might not get to witness Irrfan Khan in a new role on-screen, his son Babil Khan, who is following his father’s footsteps, will soon be seen acting in Bollywood movies. Babil bagged Shoojit Sircar’s next movie with Ronnie Lahiri. Shoojit and Ronnie earlier delivered after the hit film ‘Piku’ which starred Irrfan Khan, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead roles.
Sharing this news of collaboration on his Instagram, Ronnie Lahiri welcomed Irrfan’s son Babil on board as he shares an emotional post for the ‘Maqbool’ actor. He posted some pictures and wrote, “Honoured to take forward your legacy Irrfan sir. Worked with a legend like you, And now Babil. If this is not Providence, what is?”
Babil Khan also shared the same pictures on his Instagram and captioned the post as, “Honoured to work with you legends (aye it's a shame we didn't take a picture together @zaynmarie)”.
A few days back, Babil also shared some unseen throwback pictures of his father and wrote, “I’ve been working so hard man, wish you were here to witness.”
Meanwhile, Babil Khan is all set to make his Bollywood debut opposite ‘Bulbbul’ actress Tripti Dimri in Anushka Sharma’s Netflix production ‘Qala’.
