New Delhi: The entire nation is eagerly waiting for Indian Air Force pilot Abhinandan Varthaman to return back to India. Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday (February 28) had announced that they will release the Wing Commander as a ‘gesture of peace’. Bollywood celebs including Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Ranveer Singh have taken to social media to express their relief over the news of Abhinandan’s release. The tinsel town celebs have tweeted using the hashtags #WelcomeBackAbhinandan and #WelcomeHomeAbhinandan. SRK, who was last seen in ‘Zero’, welcomed Abhinandan back to India and said that his bravery has made the people stronger. ‘’There is no better feeling than Coming back Home, for home is the place of love, hope & dreams. Ur bravery makes us stronger. Eternally grateful. #WelcomeBackAbhinandan,’’ King Khan wrote on Twitter. Ranveer Singh, who set the box office on fire with ‘Gully Boy’, called Abhinandan an inspiration for the whole country, ‘’Welcome home Abhinandan! आपकी वीरता सर आँखों पर! Inspiration to our whole nation . Jai Hind ????????✊,’’ Ranveer wrote on the micro-blogging site. Varun Dhawan, who will be next seen in 'Kalank', wrote- "Welcome back home #WelcomeBackAbinandan a true hero. These humane actions give hope that all humanity is not lost. Bharat mata ki Jai." Filmmaker Karan Johar saluted the Wing Commander's courage . "We salute your bravery and valour....we applaud your strength in the face of adversity....#WelcomeHomeAbhinandan," KJO tweeted. Bollywood megatstar Amitabh Bachchan shared the new song 'Aukaat' from his upcoming film 'Badla' and also expressed his joy over Abhinandan's homecoming. Arjun Kapoor wrote, ''We salute your valour and the entire nation is extremely proud of you Wing Commander Abhinandan... Welcome home.'' Sidharth Malhotra, who played the role of Major Jai Bakshi in 'Aiyaary',  called Abhinandan a real hero and thanked him for his selfless service. Here's what he wrote! Riteish Deshmukh saluted Abhinandan's courage and shared, "Welcome Back Home Dear #Abhinanadan - we salute your courage, bravery & service to our nation." Shahid Kapoor, who is currently busy shooting for 'Kabir Singh', also tweeted for Abhinand's homecoming. Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, flying a MiG -21 Bison fighter plane, was chasing Pakistani jets which transgressed into Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday and crossed over to PoK where his aircraft was shot down. He ejected safely and was taken to the custody by the Pakistani Army.

Abhinandan's father S Varthaman was consultant with film 'Kaatru Veliyidai' in which just like his son, the IAF pilot also lands in Pakistan!
