Shilpa Shetty-Paresh Rawal’s ‘Hungama 2’ To Skip Theatrical Release; Film To Release On OTT Platform

One of the awaited movies of this year, ‘Hungama 2’ wrapped up their shooting by the beginning of this year. It was earlier slated for a theatrical release this year but now the makers have decided to release the movie on an OTT platform this year reportedly.

‘Hungama 2’ To Release On OTT Platform

Mumbai: The upcoming comedy film ‘Hungama 2’ stars Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Paresh Rawal in the lead roles. It is a sequel to the 2003 film ‘Hungama’ which starred Akshaye Khanna, Paresh Rawal, Aftab Shivdasani, Rimi Sen, Rajpal Yadav and Shakti Kapoor in pivotal roles. Directed by Priyadarshan, ‘Hungama 2’ also stars Meezaan Jaffrey and Pranitha Subhash in lead roles.

The film could not be released on the big screens due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Producer Ratan Jain confirmed in an official statement that ‘Hungama 2’ will release on the OTT platform. The statement read, “Hungama 2 is a lighthearted film meant to be enjoyed across all age groups, and we feel it will entertain the audiences and bring some cheer in these trying times. We will release the film on a digital platform this year and movie lovers can enjoy the laugh riot at the comfort of their homes. We have made Hungama 2 with utmost love and we are confident that our film will bring a smile to people's faces.”

‘Hungama 2’ also stars Ashutosh Rana, Manoj Joshi, Rajpal Yadav, Johnny Lever and Tiku Talsania in pivotal roles.
