Farhan Akhtar and Adhuna Bhabani are divorced now

NEW DELHI: Actor and filmmaker Farhan Akhtar and his celebrity hairstylist wife Adhuna Bhabani have finally parted their ways after Bandra family court officially granted them a divorce. The couple filed for the separation last year in October and after counselling in November, the duo was given six-month period to ponder over their decision. On Monday, their case was called out twice but they were not present. Adhuna and Farhan came along with their lawyers in the second session. After hearing arguments, they were granted divorce. The custody of their children, Shakya and Akira will be with Adhuna, whereas Farhan can meet them whenever he wants. Farhan Akhtar and Adhuna Bhabani are divorced now                                                                    (PC: Instagram) Last year in January, Farhan and Adhuna announced their split, requesting privacy. They released a joint statement that read: "This is to announce that we, Adhuna and Farhan, have mutually and amicably decided to separate. Our children remain our priority and it is immensely important to us, as responsible parents, that they be protected from unwarranted speculation and public glare. We sincerely request that we are given the privacy that is required at this time to move forward in a dignified manner". Ever since the split, there has been lot of speculations regarding Farhan's relationships. He is being linked with his co-actor Shraddha Kapoor. Farhan and Adhuna got married in 2000, after dating for two years. They met on the sets of Farhan's directorial debut, 'Dil Chahta Hai'.
