Deva First Look: Shahid Kapoor Announces New Film On Dussehra, To Release Next Year

New Delhi: On Dussehra, Shahid Kapoor surprised his audience by revealing the first look from his upcoming movie, Deva. He added that the movie's release would be on Dussehra the following year. The movie will release worldwide in theatres on October 11, 2024. The actor sports a more muscular appearance and looks dapper in a white shirt and beige trousers, along with shorter hair and beard. 

Shahid's outfit hints that the actor is playing a cop in Deva. He is also seen wearing a pendant which looks like a ring. Sharing the picture on Instagram, Shahid made the announcement as he wrote, "DEVA in theatres on Dussehra 11th October 2024.

Rosshan Andrrews, known for Malayalam blockbusters such as "Salute" and "Kayamkulam Kochunni", will direct the movie. It also stars Pooja Hegde.

According to the makers, "Deva" follows a brilliant yet rebellious police officer investigating a high-profile case. As he delves deeper into the case, he uncovers a web of deceit and betrayal, leading him down a thrilling and dangerous path.

Shahid last appeared in the action movie Bloody Daddy. The Ali Abbas Zafar-directed movie was streamed on the OTT service JioCinema. He also made his debut in the web series Farzi this year. Although there has been no official confirmation, Shahid will supposedly also appear in Farzi 2.

Shahid has another untitled movie starring Kriti Sanon in addition to Deva. On February 9, 2024, it will release in cinemas. The first look poster of the film features the two stars caught in a steaming embrace, sitting on a bike on a beach.
