DeepVeer Mumbai Wedding Reception: Here's why Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt didn't attend the bash!

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s Mumbai wedding reception proved to be a star-studded affair as the who’s who of Bollywood graced the bash to wish the newly wedded couple. It was a night to remember as we got to see the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Anushka Sharma, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Arjun Kapoor under one roof. However, several big names like Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Sonam Kapoor were conspicuous by their absence. Speculations were once rife that Ranbir Kapoor will attend Deepika’s wedding but we got to see no Bollywood celebs at Lake Como. Fans were expecting Ranbir and Alia to make a couple entry at DeepVeer’s third wedding reception but they were left disappointed to not see the ‘Brahmastra’ actors at the bash held on December 1. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were invited for the reception but they did’t turn up because of their busy schedule, as per a report in an entertainment portal. Hence, they couldn’t make it to the starry bash, the report in Pinkvilla said. Talking about Ayan Mukerji, the filmmaker had directed Deepika in ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’, which also starred Ranbir. We definitely missed the trio of Ranbir-Alia-Ayan at DeepVeer’s wedding party, what about you? (Source- Instagram) Talking about Ranveer and Deepika, the 'Simmba' actor  wore a classic black piece suit with a bow tie while the 'Tamasha' actress looked gorgeous in a jam coloured embellished gown designed by Zuhair Murad. The couple tied the knot on December 14 and 15 at Lake Como as per Konkani and Sindhi rituals.  The two 'Padmaavat' co-stars have hosted three wedding receptions, one in Bangalore and two in Mumbai.
