Ranveer Singh To Accompany Wife Deepika Padukone As She Arrives In Mumbai In Charter Plane; Actress Will Appear Before NCB Tomorrow

Deepika Padukone, who was summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau, will return to Mumbai in a charter plane. She will be accompanied by her husband Ranveer Singh.

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who was shooting for her upcoming film in Goa, will take off for Mumbai after she received summons by the Narcotics Control Bureau in connection to the ongoing probe into the alleged Bollywood drugs nexus. The ‘Padmaavat’ actress will be accompanied by her husband Ranveer Singh, who will jet off to Goa from Bengaluru. According to sources, Deepika and Ranveer are expected to return to Mumbai later in the night in a charter plane at 9pm. Also READ: EXCLUSIVE! Deepika, who was last seen in ‘Chhapaak’, will appear before the NCB for interrogation on Friday (September 25). The ‘Piku’ actress’ name emerged in the Bollywood drugs nexus case after her WhatsApp chats with her manager Karishma Prakash surfaced during the investigation. In the chats, she allegedly asked for ‘maal’ and ‘hash’ from Prakash. The ‘Om Shanti Om’ actress has reportedly sought legal advice from her lawyers via video conferencing. A NCB official has confirmed that DP has acknowledged the summon issued to her.

The NCB also issued summons to Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and Shraddha Kapoor. While Sara and Shraddha have been asked to appear on September 26, Rakul has been called for questioning on September 25. Sara, who was also in Goa with her family members, has returned to Mumbai. The ‘Simmba’ actress will appear before the drugs law enforcement agency on Saturday. Her mother Amrita Singh and brother Ibrahim Ali Khan were also spotted at the Mumbai airport. Deepika's manager Karishma Prakash has also been asked to before the NCB Friday. Prakash had earlier sought exemption from NCB's probe on grounds of ill health. Talking about Deepika Padukone, the 'Tamasha' actress was busy shooting for her film with Shakun Batra in Goa. The upcoming flick also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday in lead roles.
