Coronavirus: Celebs REACT As PM Modi Urges To Switch Off Lights & Light Up Diyas On April 5

PM Narendra Modi has shared a video message amid the COVID-19 crisis and has urged people to light uo diyas, candles, torchlights at 9 PM on Sunday, April 5 for 9 minutes.

New Delhi: The novel Coronavirus outbreak has changed the functioning of many countries all over the world including India. After Janta Curfew, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the lockdown of 21 days till April 14 as a preventive measure. Today (April 3), PM Modi shared a video message with the nation amid the COVID-19 crisis and urged people to battle the darkness of Coronavirus by lighting diyas, candles, torchlights or mobile flashlights at 9 PM on Sunday, April 5 for 9 minutes. Watch PM Modi's video message below: He asked people to keep the lights of the houses switched off during the activity. After this announcement, various celebrities including Taapsee Pannu and Hema Malini took to their social media accounts and shared their views on the same.
