Coronavirus: Deepika Padukone & Ranveer Singh To Donate To PM-CARES Fund
"In times like these, every bit counts. We humbly pledge to contribute to PM-CARES FUND and hope that you will too," Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh said in a statement.
New Delhi: Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone took to Twitter and Instagram to announce that she along with her husband Ranveer Singh will donate to the PM-CARES Fund to support the government in the fight against Coronavirus pandemic. The ‘Padmaavat’ actress also urged her fans to contribute their bit during the crucial times. DP made the announcement on social media without disclosing the amount.
"In times like these, every bit counts. We humbly pledge to contribute to PM-CARES FUND and hope that you will too. We're all in this together, and we shall overcome. Jai Hind. Deepika and Ranveer,” the couple said in a statement.

PM Narendra Modi created the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM-CARES) on March 28. He made a fervent appeal to the citizens and asked them to show their support for the cause. Several tinsel town celebs including Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma, Kartik Aaryan and Vicky Kaushal have extended financial support to the government relief fund.
