New Delhi: Rohit Shetty on Monday released a teaser-cum-trailer announcement of his upcoming film ‘Cirkus’. The film marks Ranveer Singh's third collaboration with the superstar Bollywood director Rohit Shetty after 'Simmba' and the Akshay Kumar-starrer Sooryavanshi', where he had an extended cameo appearance.

The teaser features a bunch of Rohit Shetty regulars such as Sanjay Mishra, Ashwini Kalsekar, Mukesh Tiwari, Marathi actor Siddharth Jadhav along with Jacqueline Fernandez, Jacqueline Fernandez and Varun Sharma.
Earlier the makers had released a motion poster that featured a slew of standalone posters for the movie, introducing the quirky gang of the slapstick comedy.
Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors, which has been turned into Bollywood comedy flicks like 'Angoor' and 'Do Dooni Chaar', served as the inspiration for 'Cirkus'.
Ranveer will reportedly be seen reprising Sanjeev Kumar's role from the cult film 'Angoor' and Varun will reprise Deven Verma’s character.
The comedy film is produced by Reliance Entertainment, T-Series, and Rohit Shetty Picturez and helmed by Rohit Shetty. Along with Ranveer Singh, the movie also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Pooja Hegde, Johnny Lever, Varun Sharma, and several other prominent actors. 'Cirkus' is slated to hit the big screens on December 23.
Also, on Ranveer's plate is the Karan Johar directorial 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' in which he will share the screen with Dharmendra, his 'Gully Boy' co-star Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi.
