‘Couldn’t Recognise Myself’: Kriti Sanon Shares Glimpse Of Her ‘Chubbiest Day’ From ‘Mimi’

The ‘Adipurush’ actress has now shared a picture from the sets of the upcoming movie 'Mimi', where she can be seen looking quite chubby.

Mumbai: Actress Kriti Sanon, who is gearing up for the release of her upcoming movie ‘Mimi’, shared a picture of herself from the sets of the movie. Kriti revealed while sharing the picture that she couldn’t recognize herself as she had to put on a lot of weight to get into the skin of a pregnant woman.

Kriti Sanon earlier revealed that to portray the role of a surrogate mother in ‘Mimi’, she had to eat a lot in order to gain weight. The ‘Adipurush’ actress has now shared a picture from the sets of the movie where she can be seen looking quite chubby. She revealed while posting the picture that it was her ‘chubbiest day of Mimi’ and she also disclosed that she couldn’t recognize herself at that point in time.

Kriti Sanon’s caption for the post read, “This was my chubbiest day of Mimi! And it coincidentally happened to be the गोद भराई scene! couldn’t recognise myself! #ChubbySanon #Mimi”.

Other than Kriti Sanon, ‘Mimi’ also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Sai Tamhankar, Manoj Pahwa and Supriya Pathak in pivotal roles. Helmed by the ‘Luka Chuppi’ director Laxman Utekar, this movie will premiere on 30 July 2021 on JioCinema and Netflix.

‘Mimi’ is based on the Marathi film ‘Mala Aai Vhhaychy!’ which focuses on the growing surrogacy practices in India where our women are used by foreigners to be surrogate mothers. This Marathi emotional drama also won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Marathi in 2011. ‘Mala Aai Vhhaychy!’ has also been remade in Telugu as ‘Welcome Obama’.

The makers released the trailer of ‘Mimi’ a few days back and it garnered a lot of attention and appreciation from the audience.

Meanwhile, other than ‘Mimi’, Kriti will also be seen starring in ‘Adipurush’, ‘Bachchan Pandey’, ‘Bhediya’ and ‘Hum Do Hamare Do’.
