Sushant Singh Rajput's Family Welcomes SC Verdict: 'Thankful To Bihar CM Nitish Kumar For Setting The Wheel Of Justice In Motion'

Sushant Singh Rajput’s family released a statement after the Supreme Court’s verdict in his case and said, "We love the country more than ever."

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered a probe by the CBI into the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who was found hanging at his apartment in Mumbai on June 14. The ‘Dil Bechara’ actor’s family has welcomed the top court’s decision to have the CBI continue its probe into the matter. SSR’s family issued a statement after the apex court pronounced its verdict on Rhea Chakraborty’s plea seeking the transfer of the FIR registered against her in Patna to Mumbai. "This is absolutely right. The SC decision has now made it clear that the approach of Bihar police was legally correct and justified. Everything was done in accordance with the law. This is not a victory for us, it is a matter of justice. The case has nothing to do with Bihar elections, it has to do with justice," Nitish said. The Supreme Court ordered CBI probe into the 'Pavitra Rishta' actor's death and directed the Mumbai Police to hand over the evidence it collected to the investigative agency.
