Bhuj: The Pride Of India: Ajay Devgn Shares FIRST Look Of Sonakshi Sinha As Sunderben Jetha Madharparya
Sonakshi Sinha is playing the role of Gujarati social worker Sunderben Jetha Madharparya in 'Bhuj: The Pride Of India', which will premiere directly on Disney+ Hotstar.
New Delhi: Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Bhuj: The Pride Of India’ has been making waves ever since it was announced that the film will premiere directly on Disney+Hotstar. The first look posters of Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt created a lot of buzz on social media. Ajay, who is playing the role of Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik in the much-awaited flick, shared the first look of Sonakshi Sinha. The ‘Dabangg 3’ actress looked fierce as Sunderben Jetha Madharparya, who re-constructed a destroyed airbase along with 299 other women.

Sonakshi can be seen wearing traditional outfit while sporting tattoos on her neck in the poster. The first look poster grabbed a lot of eyeballs and the actress even trended on social media.
“Here is the first look of Sonakshi Sinha as Sunderben Jetha Madharparya, the brave social worker who took 299 women along with her to support the Indian Army! #BhujThePrideOfIndia a crucial incident from History will unveil soon with #DisneyPlusHotstarMultiplex,” Ajay tweeted while sharing Sonakshi’s first look from ‘Bhuj: The Pride Of India’.
Sonakshi Sinha also shared the first look poster on Instagram and said that she was honoured to play the role of a brave social worker. She wrote, "Honoured to play the HEROIC role of Sunderben Jetha Madharparya, the brave social worker who took 299 women along with her to support the Indian Army!"
Sunderben and other local women helped Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik and his team in re-constructing the IAF airbase.
'Bhuj: The Pride Of India', which is based on Indo-Pak 1971 war, also stars Nora Fatehi, Ammy Virk and Sharad Kelkar in key roles. The Abhishek Dudhaiya directorial was originally slated to hit the silver screens on August 14, 2020. The war action film will now stream on Disney+ Hotstar due to the COVID-19 crisis.
