Are Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in for the remake of 'Abhimaan'?

"From all the movies that my mom and dad have done, this one is my favourite but to make a remake out of it will be very difficult."

NEW DELHI: The reel to real life couple, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan just completed 10 years of their married life. Expectations of them being seen together on screen are always sky high, but what set fire to the spark is the news of them being a part of the remake of classic 'Abhimaan.' When Abhishek was asked about the same by a fan during his Facebook Live interaction, the actor stated, "Abhimaan is a very extraordinary movie. From all the movies that my mom and dad have done, this one is my favourite but to make a remake out of it will be very difficult." Adding, "In between, there was some talk that a remake of the movie should be made with Aishwarya and I. But we both thought that it was such a good movie, so we shouldn't make a remake. Certain films...you should just leave them alone, you can't remake them. There is a magic about them that should be left. So as of now, nothing of that sort." As of now, the air has been cleared. Abhimaan (1973) was one of real-life couple Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan's best movies. Meanwhile, reportedly, Abhishek and Aishwarya have also been approached for Anurag Kashyap's movie 'Gulab Jamun.'  The 'Guru' actor will next be seen in J.P. Dutta's 'Paltan,' while Aishwarya will be seen opposite Anil Kapoor in 'Fanney Khan.'
