Amitabh Bachchan Announces New Release Date Of 'Chehre', Asks Fans To Get Ready To 'Face The Game'
'Chehre' new release date: Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi's much-awaited film will arrive in the cinema halls soon.
Mumbai: Anand Pandit’s ‘Chehre’ has been making waves ever since the trailer was unveiled. The suspense thriller starring Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi was supposed to hit the silver screens in April 2021; however, it got delayed due to the second wave of COVID-19. The makers have finally announced the new release date of ‘Chehre’.
The much-awaited film, which has been directed by Rumi Jafry, will arrive in the cinema halls on August 27, 2021. While several filmmakers have decided to premiere their movies on OTT platforms, Anand Pandit opted for a theatrical release.
Amitabh Bachchan took to social media to share a clip from ‘Chehre’ to announce the release date of the film. He wrote, “CAUTION You have been warned! Be ready for #FaceTheGame, kyunki yeh ilzaam aap par bhi lag sakta hai. #Chehre, releasing on 27th August in cinemas near you.”
Anand Pandit also posted the same clip on his official Instagram handle and requested the fans to 'support the theatres'. He wrote, "Keeping my promise, it's a proud moment to finally announce the release date for Chehre, coming to a CINEMA near you on August 27th. Times have been difficult, there have been delays but as promised we wanted to bring our film to theatres because we know how much the cinema community is suffering. It's time we support them, it's time we take the risk of releasing in theatres, it's time we urge our audience to relive the days of being entertained on the silver screen."
'Chehre' Cast
The mystery thriller also stars Rhea Chakraborty, Krystle D’Souza, Drithiman Chakroborthy, Raghubir Yadav, Annu Kapoor and Siddhanth Kapoor in key roles. Rhea's absence from the film's promotional posters had set several tongues wagging. The actress, who remained in headlines post Sushant Singh Rajput's death, featured in the trailer of 'Chehre', which was unveiled on March 18, 2021.
'Chehre' has been produced by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures & Saraswati Entertainment Private Limited. The mystery thriller will entertain the audience in the last week of August. Akshay Kumar's 'BellBottom' will release eight days ahead of 'Chehre'.
