Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt is all set to remake his 1991 superhit movie 'Sadak' in which Sanjay Dutt & Pooja Bhatt played the lead roles. There is a huge buzz around the film's remake and everyone is curious to know about the film's star cast. Various reports claimed that Mahesh Bhatt's daughter Ali Bhatt might play the lead role in 'Sadak 2'. Now the latest reports suggest that, Alia Bhatt & Sanjay Dutt are confirmed to play lead roles in the much-awaited film. The 'Munnabhai MBBS' actor will be seen playing the role of a drug abuse survivor whereas Alia will play his daughter. 'Sadak 2' will revolve around the father-daughter relationship between Sanjay & Alia which has made us even more excited for the film. Also, he'll be reportedly returning to direction with 'Sadak 2' after a really long time. He last directed the 1999 film 'Kartoos' featuring Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff & Manisha Koirala in lead roles. Half-sisters Alia & Pooja will be seen sharing screen-space for the first time in the film. They will be joined by Alia's 'Dear Zindagi' co-star Aditya Roy Kapur (though not much is known about his role but he might play her love interest). The shooting of 'Sadak 2' will reportedly start by the end of this month and the makers are planning to release it in November 2019. Before that, Sanjay's comeback film 'Bhoomi' too was a failure and he desperately needs a hit film. He also has films like 'Torbaaz', 'Prasthanam remake' and 'Panipat' in his kitty. Whereas, Alia Bhatt gave one of her best performances till now in Meghna Gulzar's 'Raazi'. She also has an interesting line-up of films which includes 'Gully Boy', 'Brahmastra' and 'Takht'.
