Adivi Sesh Meets Former President Ram Nath Kovind As 'Major' Nears First Anniversary

Based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, Major received appreciation from all quarters.

New Delhi: Actor Adivi Sesh starrer ‘Major’ released last year and became an immediate box office hit. Based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, the film also received appreciation from the Hindi-speaking audience. As the film nears its first anniversary, Adivi Sesh met former President Ram Nath Kovind.

The actor was delighted to discuss the film and its significance with the former President. Deeply moved by the movie, Ram Nath commended the entire team's efforts and acknowledged Adivi's remarkable acting skills, which conveyed the emotional depth of this powerful film.

Adivi shared a heartwarming post of his encounter with Ram Nath Kovind in an Instagram post saying, "I am truly overwhelmed by his response to our efforts on Major. It was a lovely conversation. Memories of a lifetime. Forever grateful. Forever thankful."

Adivi Sesh received immense love for his exceptional portrayal in ‘Major’, which brought him in the spotlight. Audiences were impressed with his performance as Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan.

‘Major’ is a biographical action drama film directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka with screenplay by Adivi Sesh. The film chronicled the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan who was martyred in the 2008 Mumbai attacks. The film also stars an ensemble cast including the likes of Sobhita Dhulipala, Saiee Manjrekar, Prakash Raj, Revathi, Murali Sharma and Anish Kuruvilla. 

Filmed simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi, 'Major' was produced by  G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment, Sony Pictures International Productions, and A+S Movies. Made on a budget of Rs. 32 crores, the film collected Rs. 64-66 crores at the box office and became one of highest grossing Telugu films of 2022.

Adivi Sesh's fans eagerly await his future project 'Goodachari 2'.
