‘These Are Baseless Rumours’: Aanand L. Rai’s Team Refutes Reports Of Dropping Kartik Aaryan From Upcoming Movie

Mumbai: Amid reports of being dropped from Karan Johar’s film ‘Dostana 2’ and Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Freddie’, it is being speculated that the ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ actor has been dropped from another film. Speculations are rife that Kartik has now been dropped from Aanand L. Rai’s upcoming movie. Rai has directed movies like ‘Raanjhanaa’, ‘Tanu Weds Manu’, ‘Zero’ and others.

According to reports, as Kartik couldn’t sign the film, he is hence not a part of the movie anymore. Ayushmann Khurrana has been offered to play Aaryan’s role in the movie.

However, ‘Colour Yellow Productions’, which is the production house of Aanand L. Rai refuted the rumour of dropping Kartik Aaryan from the movie and said that it has been a misunderstanding.

The spokesperson of ‘Colour Yellow Productions’ told ABP News, “These are baseless rumours. We met Kartik for another film. We have offered another film to Ayushmann Khurrana. This is a case of a complete mix-up.”

Ayushmann Khurrana has already worked with Aanand L. Rai in ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ and ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’, while Kartik has not yet officially joined hands with Rai for any project.

Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan was last seen starring opposite Sara Ali Khan in ‘Love Aaj Kal’. He will be next seen featuring in a lead role in ‘Dhamaka’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ opposite Kiara Advani.
