Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is reportedly gearing up for a major collaboration with filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj in his next project. Not only this, according to various reports, Aamir and Rajinikanth will star together in the film.

"Aamir Khan will be entering Lokesh Kanagaraj's universe with his next film. These two giants of the entertainment industry are coming together is going to be the next big thing to watch out for. Aamir Khan is most likely to be a part of Rajinikanth's film," IANS quoted its source as saying.
This anticipated project would mark the second time Aamir Khan and Rajinikanth share the screen. Their last collaboration was in the 1995 film ‘Aatank Hi Aatank’, a crime drama inspired by the classic 'The Godfather’ (1972). Fans of both superstars are eager to see them work together again after almost three decades.
Lokesh Kanagaraj, the name behind hits such as ‘Leo’, ‘Vikram’, ‘Kaithi’, and ‘Master’, has gained a reputation for his gritty and action-packed films.

Directed by R.S. Prasanna, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ is a remake of the Spanish film Champions and is expected to be another heartwarming tale from the Bollywood icon. Prasanna debuted with the unconventional Tamil rom-com ‘Kalyana Samayal Saadham’ in 2013.

Aamir’s last release was ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ (2022), a comedy-drama directed by Advait Chandan and an adaptation of the 1994 American classic ‘Forrest Gump’. The film, which also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan, Naga Chaitanya, and Mona Singh, saw Aamir take on the titular role in a story adapted from Winston Groom’s novel of the same name.
The film failed to perform well at the box office. Talking about the film’s failure, the actor had earlier said, "I gave it a lot of thought, it was a big learning for me. I remember telling Kiran once, ‘I made so many mistakes in this film on so many levels. Thank God I made these mistakes in just one film. Emotionally, I’m hurt that the film has not worked, I’ve taken time to absorb the grief and it has been a big learning for me.”
