'50 Crore': Pakistani 'Money Heist' Remake's Title Sparks Hilarious Meme Fest On Twitter

Pakistani film '50 Crore' has been grabbing eyeballs, all thanks to its uncanny resemblance with Money Heist. Several users have called the film the remake of the Spanish heist drama.

New Delhi: Netflix's 'Money Heist' enjoys a significant fan following across the globe. The Spanish heist crime drama, 'La casa de papel', is one of the most-watched series on the leading streaming giant. A certain section of Indian audience is eagerly waiting to see the official 'desi' remake of the show in our country; however, there are several fans, who believe the producers might not be able to do justice to the critically acclaimed show. The teaser is grabbing eyeballs because of its uncanny resemblance to 'Money Heist'. Although, the makers have maintained that flick is 'different' from any other project Pakistan has ever witnessed, social media users have already given their opinion. After watching the teaser, the users have called the film Pakistan's 'Money Heist' on Twitter. While some have pointed out the similarities in the characters, others wondered how the film will be produced as it requires large-scale production.
The title '50 Crore' sparked a hilarious meme fest on Twitter. Meme-makers had a troll day as they got to share rib-tickling memes on social media. One user tweeted, "2020 being 2020, Pakistan is making the sasta version of #Moneyheist . Lacasa de photocopy."
Another user photo-shopped the faces of the actors and replaced them with Pakistani politcians.

Is '50 Crore' Really A Film? 

The Instagram page of Galaxy Lollywood has claimed that the project is an a film but an ad. The portal said that the makers have introduced the striking similarity as part of their promotional tactic. Interestingly, several media reports had suggested that Faisal Qureshi, Asad Siddiqui, Faryal Mehmood, Zhalay Sarhadi, Noman Habib Mehmood Aslam and Saboor Ali would be seen in the upcoming action film.
