Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan & Other Celebs Urge People To Exercise Their Right To Vote

Bollywood stars like SRK and Salman Khan urge Maharashtra to vote in the fifth phase of Lok Sabha Elections.

New Delhi: As Maharashtra gears up for the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Bollywood celebs are requesting citizens to exercise their voting rights. Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Neil Nitin Mukesh have taken to social media to emphasise the importance of voting. Phase 5 voting in Maharashtra is set for May 20, and their appeal is in the works.

Shah Rukh Khan, in a heartfelt post on X (previously Twitter), urged, "As responsible Indian citizens we must exercise our right to vote this Monday in Maharashtra. Let’s carry out our duty as Indians and vote keeping our country’s best interests in mind. Go forth Promote, our right to Vote."

Salman Khan also urged people to cast their votes in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He makes a strong connection between his commitment to exercise and voting in a recent X post, saying, "I exercise 365 days a year no matter what and now I'm going to exercise my right to vote on the 20th of May no matter what."

He further wrote his well-known dialogue, “So do whatever you want to do man, but go and vote and don’t trouble your Bharat Mata .. Bharat Mata ki Jai.”

Neil Nitin Mukesh also encouraged voters by sharing a video where he talked about his daughter mistaking the election day for a holiday. He clarified, "Yaad rakhiye MONDAY chutthi nahi hai VOTING Day hai..Please cast your votes for the Lok Sabha Election 2024 Election Date: 20th May 2024 Voting Time: 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m."

Maharashtra Election Phase 5 2024

The fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections will see 49 constituencies across eight states go to the polls. Thirteen constituencies in Maharashtra, including Dhule, Dindori, Nashik, Palghar, Bhiwandi, Kalyan, Thane, Mumbai North, Mumbai North-West, Mumbai North-East, Mumbai North-Central, Mumbai South-Central, and Mumbai South, will vote.

The general elections are being held in seven phases, with June 4th marking the conclusion of the vote counting. As Bollywood stars lend their voices to the people of Maharashtra, the hope is that their influence will encourage a higher voter turnout.
