New Delhi: The wait is finally over! The most awaited trailer of Vijay Devarakonda’s pan India film ‘Liger’ is finally unveiled. Vijay Devarakonda shared the trailer on Instagram and wrote, “We give you Mass. Action. Entertainment. The LIGER Trailer!”
The trailer opens with Ramya Krishnan calling his son a crossbreed between a lion and a tiger. There is a catchy background song throughout the trailer that makes the trailer more impressive and fun to watch. The trailer takes you inside the world of Liger, where Ramya plays his mother and Ananya his love interest. It will be interesting to see Ramya Krishnan back as the powerful mother figure after Bahubali.
Vijay is a treat to watch in all the scenes, whether in fighting sequences or when he stammers to shout out his name. Former American professional boxer Mike Tyson also makes a cameo as he throws a challenge at Vijay's Liger.
The trailer is released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Before the trailer, Liger’s first song ‘Akdi Pakdi’ was also released. The song is a catchy dance number and Vijay and Ananya can be seen grooving to the music and showing their amazing dancing skills. It is a massy song with foot-tapping music. The song has been composed by Lijo George, DJ Chetas, and Sunil Kashyap, with lyrics by Mohsin Shaikh and Azeem Dayani. Dev Negi, Pawni Pandey, and Lijo George have sung the dance number.
Vijay will be seen playing an MMA artist in the film that marks his debut in the Hindi film industry. ‘Liger’ also marks the Bollywood debut of Mike Tyson.
Written, directed, and produced by Puri Jagannadh is co-produced by Karan Johar and Charmme Kaur. The film, which has been shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi, is slated to release on August 25, 2022.
