Legendary Choreographer K Shivshankar Passes Away Due To COVID-19, Sonu Sood, Chiranjeevi And Others Pay Tributes
The National Award winning choreographer K Shivshankar left for his heavenly abode on Sunday, in a private hospital in Hyderabad.
New Delhi: Legendary choreographer K Shivshankar breathed his last on Sunday, at the age of 72. He was being treated at a private hospital in Hyderabad after he was diagnosed with COVID-19. He succumbed to the novel coronavirus complications after battling for three days.
In a career spanning over four decades, Shivshankar worked in over 800 films in 10 languages. He also won the National Award for his song 'Dheera Dheera' from the film 'Magadheera' in 2011.
After his death, twitter became rife with celebs mourning his death. Actor Sonu Sood who extended financial help to the late choreographer for his treatment, said that they tried their best to save him. Sonu tweeted: "Heartbroken to hear about the demise of Shivshankar Masterji. Tried our best to save him but God had different plans. Will always miss you masterji. May almighty give strength to the family to bear this loss. Cinema will always miss you sir."

Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi, who also worked with the veteran choreographer for several hit songs, also mourned his death through a tweet.
South Director SS Rajamouli, who worked with Shivshankar in 'Baahubali-The Beginning' and 'Magadheera', also offered condolences. He wrote,"Sad to know that renowned choreographer Shivshankar Master garu has passed away. Working with him for 'Magadheera' was a memorable experience. May his soul rest in peace. Condolences to his family."
