Questions Raised Over Crowd Control, Faulty ACs As Videos Of 'Profusely Sweating' KK Emerge

The 53-year-old singer left for his heavenly abode after a live performance during a college fest at Nazrul Mancha in Kolkata.

New Delhi: One of the most versatile and iconic singers of Bollywood, Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, breathed his last on Tuesday night in Kolkata. The 53-year-old singer left for his heavenly abode after a live performance during a college fest at Nazrul Mancha in Kolkata.

According to intital reports, the singer started feeling unwell during his performance. On his return to his hotel, his condition began deteriorating following which he was taken to a private hospital in south Kolkata, where doctors declared him brought dead.

As per the latest updates in the death case, allegations are being made against the organisers for not bbeing adept in managing the crowd properly. Also, despite KK's complaint regarding the faulty AC, no step was taken by the organisers to amend things.

Shanku Panda, State BJP Spokesperson has alleged that the organisers of the event did not take proper measures to keep the crowd at bay. According to the latest reports, the capacity of the auditorium where the concert was taking place, was fit to accommodate 2000-2500 people but the space was occupied by more than 5000 people. Although gas was used to dispel the crowd but to no avail.

Also, the BJP Leader mentioned that despite the singer complaining about his uneasiness multiple times, no medical assistance was provided to him. There was not even any ambulance in the vicinity of the concert area.

The BJP Leader has demanded serious probe into the matter to find the real cause of the singer's death, who might have succumbed to a claustrophic environment.

Earlier today, a fan shared a post on a social media site, wherein she revealed the faulty management of the organisers, and how the singer was sweating profusely during his performance. She shared a long note which read as, "The AC was not working at Nazrul Mancha, he had a performance at the same place yesterday. He did complain yesterday as well, because he was sweating profusely. First of all it's not an open auditorium, and when the venue is charging so much money atleast they should keep a check on their appliances. If you watch the video closely, you can literally see the way he was sweating and brushing off the sweat. He was literally requesting the management to switch on the AC and switch off some of the lights. People literally broke the gates and entered the auditorium without any pass. What was the management doing? Where was the security? Just imagine the heat of Kolkata, and then a closed auditorium with such a big crowd with no AC working and you are singing like crazy at the top of your voice. The heart attack was not normal, I am shocked like shocked. Idk what to say."

KK has delivered a number of hit songs in an illustrious career spanning over two decades.
