Kirti Kulhari Chops Off Her Hair, Gets Crew Cut: 'It’s Not For Any Role, It’s For Me'
Actor Kirti Kulhari, who was seen in movies such as 'Shaitan', 'Pink', 'Blackmail', surprised everyone when she shared her new look on Instagram.
New Delhi: Actor Kirti Kulhari, who was seen in movies such as 'Shaitan', 'Pink', 'Blackmail', 'Uri: The Surgical Strike', and the web series 'Four More Shots Please', surprised everyone when she shared her new look on Instagram. The actor chopped off her long hair into a crew cut and shared her new look on social media. While sharing her look the actor also revealed that she has not done it for a role but just for herself.
Kirti took to Instagram reels, where she shared a video montage of herself in her new look. She said that women are expected to have long or at least shoulder-length hair in her job but she believes in making her own choices and felt empowered by chopping off her hair.
She captioned it: "New endings, new beginnings. Decided to do this a month back and here I am, having done it. I work in an industry where being a heroine comes with its own set of restrictions and limitations."
"Long hair or at least shoulder length hair is an unsaid mandate. Here I am, almost 15 years later, in the industry, doing my thing. I have no time to not do what I want to do... and each time I have done something which is not the norm, I have felt empowered and nothing short of it."

Kirti's fans were excited to see her embrace a new haircut and live life her way.
On the work front, she will be seen reprising her role of Parminder in 'Khichdi 2' which is going to be a sequel to the 2010 comedy film directed by Aatish Kapadia.
Talking about the sequel, Kirti said: "Khichdi 2' is finally happening and it's going to be a hilarious ride. I have so many memories from the first film, from shooting the song 'Chal Chal Bhonsle Market' to doing all the crazy comedy scenes. am so happy to return as Parminder in Khichdi 2 since this is where it all started for me. I have realised over the years what a massive fan-following 'Khichdi' has, especially among kids and families."
