'Signed 2 Biggest Films': Kiara Advani Doesn't Believe Woman Actors' Career Ends After Marriage
Kiara Advani mentioned that there was a lot of debate about her future in Bollywood when she was getting married.
New Delhi: Kiara Advani touched on the negative notion about female actors getting married during the peak of their career. The actor, who has been in the entertainment industry for ten years, tied the knot with Sidharth Malhotra a year ago. While speaking at ABP hosted 'Ideas Of India Summit', she mentioned that there was a lot of debate about her future in Bollywood when she was getting married.
"Why is she getting married? She's just reaching that phase and all of that. But kudos to the audience because I think they have evolved. We keep saying to the directors, producers, or actors, or female actors who've taken on that, but kudos to the audience because they see you as a character,” Kiara said at the ABP conclave.
“So whether I'm married, whether I'm a mother, whether I'm someone's daughter, whatever that is, that's immaterial in that moment. And I think I can say that, post-marriage, I've signed two of my biggest films. And I think, of course, we have so many actresses. I think all the top actresses today are all married. So that speaks volumes in itself and that's a positive change,” the actor added.
For a very long time, there were rumours circulating about Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani's romance, but the couple chose not to acknowledge or deny them. Fans cherished their on-screen chemistry in 'Shershaah', the movie in which they began dating while filming it. On February 7, 2023, Sidharth and Kiara tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at Jaisalmer's Suryagarh Palace.
Talking about her relationship with her husband, Kiara said that he ‘felt like home’ to her. "I do come from a home where, again, there's a lot of love. There's a lot of nurturing. There's a lot of pampering that happens. It's such a fulfilling home that I come from that to feel the same thing with someone else," the actor said.
"It was very organic. I believe I am good at balancing my personal and professional lives. So if I want to do something, I will go for it, and then, because I manage everything else, I never thought about my career unless I knew I would do what I said," she added.
On the work front, Kiara will star alongside Ranveer Singh in Farhan Akhtar's 'Don 3'. Apart from the actor flick, she will feature in the Telugu movie 'Game Changer' with Ram Charan.
