New Delhi: Karan Johar has officially accepted Ranbir Kapoor as his son-in-law. As Alia Bhatt shared pictures of her wedding on Instagram, congratulatory messages began to pour in.

After Soni, Karan Johar took to his official Instagram account to share a picture of the newlyweds and wrote, “It’s days like this that we live for …where there is the most beautiful blend of family, love and absolute emotion….. overwhelmed and so full of love in my heart… my darling @aliaabhatt this is such a beautiful life step and my love and blessings go with you everywhere … Ranbir ! Karan Johar has time and again spoken of his special fatherly bond with Alia Bhatt. In fact, Alia has been under his mentorship since the time Karan gave her the first big break with ‘Student of The Year’ in 2012. Alia has also worked in many films backed by Karan’s production house, Dharma.

Karan has also worked with Ranbir Kapoor on ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. The producer is also producing the star couple’s upcoming and much-anticipated film ‘Brahmastra’. It was during the shooting of ‘Brahmastra’ that Alia and Ranbir fell in love. It's been 5 years since then, and the couple tied the knot this year.

Alia and Ranbir got married on the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi on 14th April. Many congratulations to both of them.
