New Delhi: Filmmaker Karan Johar celebrates his 50th birthday today, on May 25. On the occasion, popular celebrities and his friends from the Bollywood industry made way to his palatial bungalow for some midnight birthday celebration.

Karan Johar is one of the most eminent directors and filmmakers of the Bollywood industry who never looked back after debuting as a director with Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai'. The film continues to be one of the most loved performances of the iconic duo Shah Rukh and Kajol, even after decades of its release.

Karan went on to give the audience one of the best modern-era family drama with 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham', continuing to entertain the audience with hitmakers like 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna' and 'Dostana' among others. 

For his 50th birthday celebrations, popular celebrities including his best friend Shah Rukh Khan's wife Gauri Khan, Shweta Bachchan, Farah Khan, Maheep Kapoor were seen making their way to his place at late night. Apurva Mehta, CEO of Karan Johar's production house 'Dharma Productions' was also spotted carrying golden gift boxes along with his wife. Director Ayan Mukerji, who has directed Ranbir and Alia starrer 'Brahmastra' under Dharma banner, also made his way to the director's place.
