Kantara Box Office Collection: Hindi Version Earns Rs 11.15 crore, Telugu Version To Surpass KGF 1 Soon

Rishab Shetty’s 'Kantara' has become the talk of the town these days. The film’s Hindi version has collected Rs 11.15 crore till now.

New Delhi: Rishab Shetty’s 'Kantara' has become the talk of the town these days. Be it the Kannada or the Hindi version, the film has successfully registered its growth in all horizons breaking multiple records. The raging craze of the film is subsequently witnessed at the box office, where the film is constantly rising. 

The film’s Hindi version has collected Rs 11.15 crore till now. The film collected 1.27 crore Net on the very first day, 2.75 crore. on the second day, and 3.5 crore on the third day in the Hindi market.  After booking a constant growth over the weekend, the film collected 1.75 crore on Monday, registering a huge jump of 40 to 50% as compared to Friday. This phenomenon of constant rise continued on Tuesday as well with the collection of 1.88 crore bringing the total to 11.15 crore.

According to the box office tracking portal Andhra Box Office, the Telugu version of Kantara will soon overtake the lifetime collections of the Telugu version of 'KGF: Chapter 1'. The film has grossed Rs 16 crore till now. By the end of its second weekend, the film is expected to surpass the lifetime collections of 'KGF: Chapter 1' in the Telugu states. KGF 1 had earned Rs 24 crore in the Telugu version.

While the celebrities like Prabhas, Dhanush, Anil Kumble, Shilpa Shetty, and many more had expressed their love on social media, the recent meeting of the team with the honorable Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports of India, Anurag Thakur also speaks a lot about the craze of the film.

Set in the fictional village of Dakshina Kannada, Kantara is a visual grandeur that brings alive the traditional culture of Kambala and Bhoota Kola art form to the fore. The soul of the story is on human and nature conflict which is deeply rooted in the coastal culture and folklore of Karnataka. The movie will be released on 800-plus screens across India.      

It tells the story of a local demigod (Bhoota) who trades forest land to the tribe's people with a king in exchange for happiness.    

Directed and led by Rishab Shetty, the movie also stars Sapthami Gowda in the lead. It also stars Kishore and Achyuth Kumar in pivotal roles.
