'The Marvels' Trailer Is Out: Brie Larson Film Promises Action & Comedy
The film is slated to be released on November 10, 2023, as part of Phase Five of the MCU.
New Delhi: The trailer of the much-anticipated movie 'The Marvels' is out. The Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, Kamala Khan, Carol Danvers and Monica Rambeau starrer is a direct sequel to 2019's 'Captain Marvel' which ended up earning $1 billion worldwide. In the recently released trailer for the film, we see that the three superheros discover that their powers have become intertwined and interchangeable after the villainous Dar-Benn casts a spell on them.
'The Marvels' movie will also be in continuation of the TV miniseries 'Ms. Marvel'( 2022).
The official synopsis of the film's trailer says, "Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan, Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol's estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team-up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as "The Marvels."
'The Marvels' will become the 33rd overall film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.The trailer naturally is action-packed with high-end tech and is all about women superheroes power. 'The Marvels' trailer is comic and shows the switch in powers once the spell is cast on the three superheroes.
Samuel L Jackson will be returning as Nick Fury in 'The Marvels'. He is currently part of the Disney+ Hotstar series 'Secret Invasion'. Fury is an MCU regular now. Without him no Marvel film is complete.
The veteran actor first appeared as Fury in the post credits scene of the first Iron Man movie 15 years ago.
Directed by Nia DaCosta, 'The Marvels' , is produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The screenplay is written by DaCosta and Megan McDonnell and Elissa Karasik.
