Reports indicate that Superman could pull in a global opening weekend total between $200 million and $230 million, spanning over 60,000 screens worldwide, according to Sacnilk. In North America alone, box office experts predict a $130 million debut, although DC Studios is maintaining a more conservative estimate of just over $100 million.
The film not only marks Gunn’s first directorial project under his new leadership at DC Studios, but also introduces a fresh lineup of characters in the revamped universe.
