Falguni Pathak Shares Stage With Neha Kakkar On Indian Idol 13 Amid War Of Words

New Delhi: Amidst the ongoing tussle between Neha Kakkar and Falguni Pathak over the recreation of the latter’s iconic song ‘Maine Payal Hai Chankai’, the singers will now be seen together on an episode of Indian Idol 13. 

Neha Kakkar recently released her new song O Sajna, which is a recreation of Falguni Pathak’s ‘Maine Payal ai Chhankai’ from the 90s. The singer was trolled by the netizens ever since the track was released, even Falguni Pathak expressed her displeasure about the song. She went on a reposting spree on Instagram and shared all the posts criticising the song.  

In a conversation with Delhi Times Falguni said, “I got to know about the remixed version three-four days back. The first reaction was not good. I was like, mujhe bas ulti aani baaki thi, aisa ho gaya tha. (I was about to puke, it was like that).” 

Now, Sony TV has shared a promo of the upcoming episode of Indian Idol in which Neha Kakkar welcomes ‘legendary Falguni m’aam’ as they begin the theatre round with a garba night. Falguni goes on to sing garba songs and all the judges Neha Kakkar, Himesh Reshammiya, and host Aditya Narayan play dandiya around her.

 

As soon as the promo was out, fans were quick to call the cold war a publicity stunt. A user wrote, “Song ko famous karvane ke liye kya kya karte hai yeh log....pehle social media par lad ke attention grab karte hai phir ek sath TV par perform karte hai. Kya dikhava hai yaar (what all these people do to make the song a hit, first they fight on social media to grab attention and then they perform together on TV. What a show off).”   

Earlier, Neha had also shared a note on Instagram after getting trolled for the song ‘O Sajna.’ Without taking names, Neha wrote, “In another story, Neha wrote, "For those who`re so unhappy seeing me HAPPY and SUCCESSFUL. I feel sorry for them. Bechare. Plz keep commenting I won`t even delete them, Coz I Know and Everybody knows what NEHA KAKKAR is."
