Esha Deol has recently revealed the correct pronunciation of her name and also explained what her name means. In an interview with Instant Bollywood, the actor said that her name has been mispronounced for a long time and that the correct way to pronounce her name is 'Ae-sha' and not 'Ee-sha'. Adding to it, she said, "Aaj tak yeh topic chal raha hai (This is a never-ending topic)." Esha then went on to say that 'Esha' is a Sanskrit word meaning 'divine’s beloved'.

Netizens were soon to take the comments section and react to the video. One of them said, "Shut up it's not Sanskrit word ok it's a Islamic word Ayesha razi Allah tala", while another person wrote, "The name 🔥". A third user chimed in saying, "She looks so beautiful."

Apart from Esha Deol, Karisma Kapoor, too, had explained how to pronounce her name correctly and apparently everyone, including her sister, Kareena Kapoor, had been mispronouncing her name. Around the release of 'Murder Mubarak', she explained the correct pronunciation of her name saying that it is 'Ka-rizz-ma'. Netizens were quite surprised with the fact that Karisma had been fine all these days with being called 'Ka-rish-ma'.

Meanwhile, Esha recently got divorced from her husband Bharat Takhtani, after being married for 12 years. The two are parents to daughters — Radhya and Miraya.
