New Delhi: After 'Ek Villain Returns', Disha Patani is all set to star in the upcoming periodic action film tentatively titled 'Suriya 42'.  The actress will be seen portraying a lead role opposite the national award-winning actor Suriya in the film.

While sharing her excitement about her lead role in the film, Disha said, “I am super kicked to announce my next with Suriya sir and Siva sir. It feels great to be a part of such a huge project that has got all the larger-than-life elements for the audience to experience on the big screen. Moreover, the character that I am playing is also quite unique and I am also excited to bring my never seen before avatar to the audience."

Earlier in the day, a motion poster of the film was revealed. Suriya tweeted, "We seek all your good wishes as we begin our adventure!"

The exciting motion poster has a hawk hovering over a battlefield in which knights are battling it out, while Suriya's character, dressed in the attire of a commander, is seen standing on a rock and observing the proceedings on the battlefield.

It is then that the motion poster makes the disclosure that the film is being shot in 3D and that it will be released in 10 languages. The poster also has the tagline, 'A mighty valiant saga'.

The motion poster has led many fans to wonder if 'Suriya 42' is a historical or a war film. The film is being produced by Studio Green Gnanavel Raja and has music by Devi Sri Prasad.

While Disha has ignited the excitement among the audience with the announcement of her lead in Suriya 42 upcoming film, the actress will also be seen in Karan Johar's ‘Yodha’ co-starring Sidharth Malhotra and Project K alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone.
