Following fresh controversy over her recent remark about a “temple” dedicated to her in Uttarakhand, Urvashi Rautela’s team has stepped in to clear the air. In an official statement, they urged the public to “listen to the video carefully” before drawing conclusions.

The controversy stems from an interview where Urvashi mentioned the existence of an ‘Urvashi Temple’ near Badrinath Dham, a claim that quickly went viral. She further added that she would love to see a similar gesture in South India, sparking a flurry of reactions across social media.

The statement issued by her team read, “Urvashi Rautela said that there is a temple in my name in Uttarakhand, not Urvashi Rautela’s temple. Now people don’t even listen to things properly; just hearing ‘Urvashi’ or ‘temple,’ they assume that people worship Urvashi Rautela. Listen to this video properly and then speak.”

The statement added, “Urvashi said, yes, at Delhi University, she was worshipped as ‘Damdami Mai,’ and there’s a news article about it too. Legal action should be taken against those who made confusing remarks about Urvashi Rautela’s statement. It is essential that before making baseless allegations or derogatory comments against any individual, the facts are thoroughly verified. Everyone in society should treat each other with respect and understanding so that everyone’s rights can be protected.”

Urvashi Rautela’s viral video

In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Urvashi shared that a temple has been built in her name. “There is a temple in my name in Uttarakhand. If one visits Badrinath, there is a ‘Urvashi temple’ right next to it,” she said.

The statement from the actress’s team comes in response to backlash from priests and local residents, who expressed displeasure over Urvashi’s remarks. Many, citing the temple’s sacred significance, accused her of hurting religious sentiments and even urged the government to take appropriate action.
